ASIJ’s diverse and talented alumni community is a meaningful part of what makes our school special. The ASIJ Alumni Impact Award is presented annually to recognize distinguished alumni from the wide and diverse community of ASIJ alumni living around the globe.

John is the co-founder of Ablr and the author of Don’t Ask the Blind Guy for Directions. His work centers on disability inclusion, digital accessibility, and workplace development. Having navigated significant barriers in education and his career as a person who is blind, John is deeply motivated to dismantle those same obstacles and create equitable opportunities for others.

The ASIJ Young Alumni Changemaker Award is presented annually to recognize the outstanding and impactful accomplishments of alumni who graduated in the last 15 years. The award recognizes and honors young alumni who have brought about a significant positive change to a community or institution—for example, through service work or through a role in policy, advocacy, or the nonprofit sector.

Jasmine is a mental health counselor specializing in somatic therapy. Her professional path is deeply rooted in her personal history, having grown up alongside a family member with mental illness. Today, she is dedicated to expanding resource accessibility and strives to be the advocate and counselor that she and her community lacked growing up.
